Baan Dek Foundation is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious, organization that supports about 1000 children in need and their families in the slums of Chiang Mai Province (Northern Thailand). Through specifically tailored educational programs and flexible individual support, Baan Dek Foundation protects endangered children, allows families to becoming self-sustainable and gives opportunities for a better future.
The Foundation is officially recognized by Thai Law and is supported by four independent entities: Kids Home France, Kids Home Italia, Kids Home UK and Kids Home America. All are recognized as a charitable association in their countries and have the vocation to raise fund and spread information about the work of Baan Dek Foundation in Thailand.

Responsibilities of the advertised position:
Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for a volunteer for the position of Technical Advisor (Monitoring and Evaluation)**.**
The objective of the mission is to develop and expand Monitoring & Evaluation systems in order to allow the Foundation to assess the impact of its activities and develop the programs according to needs on the field.
More specifically, it includes the following:
Support the local team in collecting and analyzing monitoring data
Develop tools based on mobile technologies to organize M&E and Project Impact Assessment
Potentially support app development (both web-based and off-line apps) of an e-curriculum that teaches children essential knowledge and skills
Support the team with field activities dedicated to the development of children’s self-expression and creativity.
Work closely with the management team as well as Baan Dek’s International Coordinator to support the development of requested communications, etc.
Required skills:
Qualification:
Qualifications: M&E or IT related studies and/or confirmed skills or experience
Previous professional experience in software development is required
Developed software skills in: Excel, SalesForce and Form Assembly
Personal characteristics:
Dynamic, creative, and proven skills of interaction with children
Ability to work in team and independently meeting tight deadlines
Able to provide and receive positive criticism in a sensitive manner
Highly motivated, flexible and interested in humanitarian missions
Reliable and respectful to local culture
Languages: English spoken and written (native English profiles will be considered in priority - French and Thai are valuable assets)
Duration of contract: 6 months min
Starting date: April/May 2018
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Position status: Volunteering/internship (certification can be awarded at the end of the project)
Compensation: No initial financial compensation but lunch on weekdays, accommodation and transportation mean available. Financial stipend considered after a period of 3 months.
